replica 612 imperfect speaker hole cut outs?

This is a sad ? I looked all over the web but to no avail no answer. hopefully someone can answer this for me? My 612 baltic birch replica test cabinets that I had whipped together, have holes that are not accurately cut for the drivers. I want to hear a new set of crossovers and I am worried about damaging the speakers. Is this a concern?

You won't have accurate results if there is airleaks

How Imperfect are they? I don't think you can kill speakers that way but your sound would probably be different if there are leaks as Altec Best stated.

Speakers will die earlier with air leaks than in a proper box.

Low power won't hurt them. they won't handle max power without being properly damped.

so the short answer is if you want to do 5-10 watt tests no worries.

You haven't described the fit problem so nobody can offer help with that.
Your neighbors called. They like your music.

Thanks for the responses! I am just worried about unbalanced cone excursion. Received these back from GPA and I dont want to do any damage to them. The problem is that the holes are a little ragged and not perfectly round. Also in a few spots the cuts are a little canted. The speakers did sit flush when they were mounted maybe I can have a pro recut them for me removing a slight amount of material. Thanks again

A router with a circle jig thingy is the cats meow when doing the hole cutouts, at this point it's either live with it or if your real good and buy a circle jig and a router you could carve a big enough hole in a sheet of ply for the router to run around inside of and have it just the right size so it just skims your hole out and makes it nice and round again.
